We would be happy to assist you if you would like to send her here to Duncan, Oklahoma. We love Saucy's. What exactly is she in need of? If her eyes are needing adjustment, we can do that we also are specializing in hazy eye repair (scratched lenses). We can make them look almost brand new in most cases. If she needs original looking eyelashes, at this point we are still working at perfecting this skill. If she has old clothing on....we can clean them and if they are needing repair, we can send them out to our seamstress. If they are too raggedy, we will have our seamstress duplicate them, sometimes exact prints are hard to duplicate, but the form of the outfit can be accomplished such as a dress and a pinafore with attached cotton white/colored slip. Seamstress work is to be paid by the customer separately.
Shoes....if
they are missing we have to search for them, we might be able to find
the IDEAL TOY CORP ones or maybe FAIRYLAND or USA, but shoes to match
that time period for sure. Socks are very hard to find so we can
use new ones to look similar. Shoes are a separate Cost.
Re-Stringing
Her... No
problem there. We use Surgical Elastic Cord Tubbing. She will
pose beautifully for another 56 years. We re-string the
arms and head if needed.
Wig....
If her hair has been cut like my Saucy's was by me as a
child, we will use a Monique wig that you want and glue it around the
edges just in case you should want to replace the style at a
later date. We leave a little residue from the old wig as
suggested for the new glue to adhere to. If her hair is original
and can be cleaned and reworked, we do that as well. We always
attach gorgeous new ribbon in their hair and stiffen the bows to
insure many more years of display.
Her
Skin....If she needs
light sanding to give her that once again new softer look, we do that
as well. This removes the blackening from many years past and
also we use an antibacterial solution to make her germ free. We also
spray the walking mechanism with silicon.
Our
Fees....Our
basic fee is $100.00 per doll for restringing, sanding if requested,
loosening up the walking mechanism, cleaning the original wig and
re-freshening the original style with brand new ribbons, cleaning the
clothing she has on and ironing them. A Brand New Doll Stand is also
included. We send an update of her
progress via our Web Site for you to know what is happening and
when.
All other requests such as repairing the eyes will be a
separate fee and restoring hazed eyes back to at least 75% of
their shine is also a separate fee. We, if needed, will also
replace the doll's wig that the owner will purchase. Requesting new replica
clothing can be accomplished by contacting our seamstress and having
her send the outfit to us when she has completed it. Original
shoes and socks can be purchased on Ebay if the doll does not have
them.
We are not responsible for the
fees of shipping her back to you, this fee will be extra and your
choice of the service you prefer. If you prefer FedEx or UPS, you will
need to plan on them picking her up here at our offices in Oklahoma. If you
prefer USPS we will send you an invoice for the shipping cost before shipment.
We will ship her anyway you would like but we always use
our own custom doll box and shipping fillers to prevent damage.
Photos....
We will send you a digital photo of her before we ship her to you
so you can approve of her appearance. We will also use that same photo
on our web site so your Saucy will be a model of beauty as long as we
are online and have the space to carry the files. Thousands will see her. Simply contact us
